Although it's not expected to be a close race, the Mike Prendergast-Kathy Castor election in Congressional House District 11 in Hillsborough County interests us.  Yesterday Prednergast released his economic proposal, and we caught up with Castor earlier in the week to talk about the health care bill and the stimulus plan that she strongly supports.

Tea Party activists say it's all about the spending when it comes down to why they're so angry at Washington.  Apparently, what one does with their personal spending on a political party's credit card doesn't disturb them, or other financial issues when it comes to Marco Rubio, as the St. Pete Times delivers a solid story on some ever widening contradictions between the man and his message.

And we've got more on the Juan Williams/NPR debacle.  Our point is the network just made things a lot harder for themselves going forward, just as a potential Republican Congress gets ready to settle in and start cutting whatever they can.
