Although Barack Obama was out fund-raised by Mitt Romney by some $35 million last month, you'd never know it by the number of ads the Obama For America camp keep putting up in battleground states like Florida.
Part of the reason you may be seeing more ads from Obama than Romney (we're not talking about their respective super PACS, where the pro-Romney forces are raising hundreds of millions more than Obama's group) is that most of the $106 million that the former Massachusetts Governor took in last month won't be spent until after the Republican National Convention in Tampa next month, as it can only be used for the general election.
With Romney getting hammered this week about his the length of his involvement with Bain Capital (criticism that Romney said Friday night was "the height of silliness"), the Obama campaign is keeping the pressure up, airing a new ad called "Firms" that highlights Mitt Romney’s record of shipping jobs overseas and owning offshore accounts in foreign tax havens.
