Welcome to On the Radar, where we preview up-and-coming arts events to mark your calendar for. This weekend brings a slew of activities, including a modern dance performance and the AIDS Walk to raise funds and awareness for ASAP, which provides services to locals living with HIV and AIDS.

The Moving Current Dance Collective – among the southeast’s most acclaimed modern dance companies – opens the fall season with a collection of interpretive contemporary dances. Kristen O'Neal restages "Remember," about a husband’s unwavering loyalty to his wife, who is dying of Alzheimer’s disease, and Cindy Hennessy explores symbiotic relationships in "Opposites Attract," which begs the question — are human relationships ever anything but competitive? Many more talented directors, choreographers and dancers also contribute to this stunning tribute to the power of dance. Visit movingcurrent.com for more info.
