On January 20th, 2009, Husband bought home a bottle of Champagne in the middle of the day. We were in the mood to celebrate.
This happens quite often; it doesnt take much to put me in a good mood and eager for a glass of Chandon. Perhaps my twin sons remembered to lift up the toilet seat and actually aim for the water three days in a row, or Husband finally took those quarters out of his pants before missing the hamper.
Call me simple, but I get happy over the little things in life.
Last year, though, it was a pretty big happening that occurred and left me feeling hopeful for the first time in over eight years. You see, President Barack Obama was about to be inaugurated and I couldnt wait to get goosebumps instead of stomach pains when our president spoke.
The goosebumps came as anticipated. Who knew a year later the stomach pains would settle in?
