Singled out by USA Today as one of "10 Great Beer Festivals to Tap Into for Some Suds in the Summer Sun," Lowry Park Zoo's annual WaZoo celebration pairs a huge selection of food and brews with live music and evening romps in the park. For its 11th year, the event features some 200 beverages from around the world (Carib Lager, anyone?), eats by local restaurants (including the Bamboo Club, Mimi's Café, and Coquina Blue Grille and Bar), a wine garden, and live music on two separate stages by Blue Stone Circle and Impulse. Designated Driver tickets allow entry to guests of all ages, but child strollers are not permitted. (Because quite frankly, no one needs one more thing to worry about tripping over while wandering around in a drunken stupor.) For those folks who can't wrangle up a DD and become too darn schnockered to drive, the zoo offers free cab rides to anywhere in Hillsborough County. Sat., Aug. 5, 8-10:45 p.m., 1101 W. Sligh Ave., Tampa, $40 ($10 extra for entry to the wine garden; proceeds benefit the zoo's animal population), 813-935-8552.
