It began on July 7, 1977, as a place for like-minded folks to enjoy music, art and friendship. Now, 30 years later, the Blueberry Patch — a small hippie enclave on an acre of land in Gulfport — is still going strong with free jams, open mics, art exhibits and live music four times a month. Owner Dallas Bohrer is a big believer in numerology, hence the Blueberry Patch's 30th Anniversary Party he's throwing on 7-7-07. In addition to the creative types present at all of Bohrer's events, this party features performances by local folk band Dream Window, and a few area filmmakers are ready to record the positive energy emanating from Gulfport's oldest artist colony. Sat., July 7, 7-11 p.m., 923 20th Ave. S., Gulfport, free admission, 727-327-4224, blueberrypatch.org.
