Thanks, mom and dad.

Tampa philanthropist Penny Vinik, together with her  sports team-owning multi-millionaire husband Jeff Vinik just donated $5 million to USF, according to the Tampa Bay Business Journal. The funds are to be earmarked for the on-campus football stadium officials and many students have been clamoring for since fall 2021.

Last month, the school said it would put the 35,000-40,000-seat stadium—which could cost between $250-$400 million—near the indoor training facility on the Tampa campus, but added that financing is still uncertain.

The donation from the Viniks comes just a few weeks after Tampa’s Frank and Carol Morsani donated $5 million dollars of their own.
