When gay bar Christopher Street shut its doors for good last June, it left a major void in mid-Pinellas County’s gay nightlife.
Now a new gay bar is ready to take its place and fill that niche. Quench Lounge, 13284 66th St. N., will open its doors Thursday, Jan. 31 in the same plaza that Christopher Street once called home. The grand opening party will run from 6 to 8 p.m. that night, and the bar will be open for regular business until 2 a.m.
