Good morning. How many work hours did you waste yesterday watching Tampa Bay’s newest cute webcammed animal?
A court appearance scheduled for yesterday for the two cretins still accused of animal cruelty in the, ahem, wake of that whole shark-dragging video thing was pushed back to August. You know they’re just hoping the whole thing will go away now that there’s no more media… shit, what’s the word for “mindless chaotic animal group feeding” again?
A guy in Polk County was arrested for broadcasting a 43-minute Facebook Live video of a shooting victim rather than, you know, trying to get him some freakin’ medical assistance or something. Not only did the arrested man delay calling 911, he also provided extra time for the shooter to get away. Hopefully the phrase “this person should be sued out of existence” doesn’t rise unbidden into your mind all the time, but every once in a great while…
Red tide! It’s back. Of course it is — it’s beach-fucking-thirty.
And finally, the fundraising effort to move a Confederate monument in Lakeland is… not going well. Some of Florida really is the South, you know.
