Opponents of same sex marriage are saying ,"not so fast," to the sentiments of supporters that after the New York Legislature passed a bill legalizing it in the Gotham State, other states and the rest of the country will follow suit.

There are 29 states who ban such unions in their constitution, with Florida and California two of the latest states to do via the ballot box in 2008. 12 others ban it via statute.

A Public Policy Poll taken earlier this week shows that the majority of Floridians have no desire to reverse their decision at the polls, with 53 percent thinking it should remain illegal, and 37 percent wanting it to be legal.

However, those results change dramatically among people under the age of 45.
