Tai Chi Lecture

University Community Hospital offers a free presentation on the history and benefits of tai chi. The program is a broad introduction to the Chinese exercise and provides insights into the health advantages gained by performing tai chi. Tae Kwon Do Event
July 2-7
The Tampa Bay Sports Commission needs volunteers to help with the U.S. Junior Olympic Tae Kwon Do Championships July 2-7. Duties range from registration and time-keeping to athlete escorting and hosting. Volunteers are asked to work in five-hour increments and are provided with meals for morning and evening shifts. Widow Support Group

The Centre for Women offers a forum for widows to share their experiences with one another. Meetings begin July 3 and are held every Tuesday at The Centre for Women, 305 S. Hyde Park Ave., Tampa. Attendance is free; registration is required. Call 813-251-8437.
Cancer Survivor Meetings

Books Wanted
Friends of the Library, Hillsborough Inc., accepts donations of books, videos and books on tape for resale in the organization's used bookstore, and at sales held in the John F. Seeking Mentors
The Minority Business Development Division of the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce is developing a mentor/protege program to support minority-owned businesses in the area. The SPCOC is recruiting mentors that are sensitive to the needs of small businesses. Interviews are held throughout July and August. Call 813-821-4069.
