Representatives from the University of South Florida and Hillsborough Community College address questions concerning application, registration and financing a college education. Rainbow Reading

Blood Drive
Saturday, July 14
2-6 p.m.

Safari Animal Clinic in Temple Terrace is holding a "people and pets" blood drive to benefit local hospitals and veterinary emergency clinics. Human, dog and cat blood are requested. Animals from the St. Francis Organization are also available at the blood drive for adoption. Safari Animal Clinic is at 6610 E. Fowler Ave., Tampa. Call 813-988-8880.

Epilepsy Support Group
Suncoast Epilepsy Association Inc. holds support meetings for those affected by the disease. The St. Petersburg office holds adult support meetings the last Monday of each month from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., and the second Wednesday of each month from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Meetings held at 5700 54th Ave. N., St. Petersburg. The Mease Dunedin Hospital also offers meetings for adults the last Monday of each month, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., and a support group for children, teens, parents and other caregivers the second Wednesday of each month from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Call 727-546-2856.

Food Drive
Pinellas Cares, a community organization for volunteer action, needs donations of canned or dry goods for the poor. All contributions are donated to local food pantries and soup kitchens. Dial 221 on any local phone to get information on donating or receiving food and services through Pinellas Cares. Call 727-550-4052.

Host Families Needed
World Heritage is pairing foreign exchange students with host families in the U.S. for the 2001-02 school year. The students are from 12 countries of the former Soviet Union, speak fluent English and are above average academically. All students are fully insured and are provided with a monthly allowance for personal expenses. Couples, single parents, and adults with no children are all encouraged to apply. Call 813-884-3280.
