• Shane Hill fires a shot on goal in the 3-3 draw against Carolina last Saturday in a contest that set up a berth in the NASL Championship Series. If the Rowdies win, it will be the second title in organization history since the Rowdies won in their inaugural season in 1975.

When the Rowdies last visited Minnesota on July 12, they left National Sports Center Stadium in Blaine with a bitter taste in their mouth after suffering a 2-1 defeat, snapping a four-game winning streak. After handling the Stars through the first three contests with two wins and a tie, the Rowdies had wanted to finish the North American Soccer League regular season series against their 2011 playoff nemesis with a clean slate.
