The first day of February brought more good news for the Marco Rubio for Senate team. First was a new and stunning Rasmussen Poll that shows the former House Speaker kicking Charlie Crist's rear, 49 to 37%.
Rubio followed that up later in the day by calling for another so called fundraising bomb – with the goal being $787,000 in ten days time (with the 787 figure obviously a reference to President Obama's $787 billion stimulus bill, which his chief Senate opponent, Govenor Crist, supported a year ago). In a press release, Rubio said:
