The Sunday morning public affair shows were dominated by appearances by White House Budget Director Jack Lew and an assortment of members from Congress, all talking about the August 2 deadline on increasing the federal debt ceiling.
Getting nearly ten minutes of his own on CBS' Face The Nation with Bob Schieffer, Marco Rubio never sounded harsher in blasting President Obama, while saying that he will not support a plan floated last week by Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell that could save the nation from going into default. Rubio repeated his comment on Sean Hannity's television show that Obama has made life in America worse, and made the dubious assertion that he had led the debt crises slide to the last minute.
