Good news: There's now a way to halt phone book deliveries to your home! So, instead of letting them sit on your porch for a few weeks and then just chucking them in the trash, you can save a few trees by visiting the Yellow Pages Association's National Yellow Pages Consumer Choice & Opt-Out Site to get them to stop dropping off unwanted phone books.
Simply log on to the site, sign up for the service and you'll receive your password in your email. You can then log into the site and choose which phone book subscriptions you'd like canceled. Surprisingly, there will be more than one to choose from — I have eight that are sent to my area alone. Makes you think about all that paper they've been wasting all of these years, huh?
