It's official: long time CBS News reporter Scott Pelley has been named to what used to be one of the most prestigious jobs in broadcast news – anchorman of the CBS Evening News.
Pelley's first broadcast will be Monday, June 6. He's been with CBS since 1989 and a correspondent for "60 Minutes" since 2004, a position he says he'll continue to contribute to (as did Dan Rather back during his reign).
