Rick Scott and his new running mate, Jennifer Carroll, visited Brandon late yesterday afternoon.  A recent charge by Scott that Alex Sink supports cutting Medicare caused us to weigh in again and call attention to the fact that it seems like the GOP gubernatorial candidate perhaps has forget who's been running the state for the past decade and simply wants to change the subject to who's running Washington.

There was allegedly a hazing incident involving former USF students that was reported earlier this week.  We write allegedly, because officials aren't saying anything specific.  Regardless, some USF students held a protest against hazing yesterday on the Tampa campus, as CL's Rebecca Wainright reports.

And Hillsborough County Commissioner Jim Norman appears to be some trouble regarding that nice house his wife bought in Arkansas that he knows nothing about.  The answer has never passed the smell test, and there is now an investigation looking into it, though previous investigations around here don't seem to conclude that quickly.
