We at CL have been entertained (and exasperated) listening to Republicans (and even some Democrats) who refuse to deal with the reality that we have somewhere between 10-12 million people in this country who are not documented.
But, of course, whenever the issue of illegal immigration is broached, any comment other than "We have to secure the border" will be dismissed by conservatives as being un-serious.
Never let a good narrative be thwarted by the facts. The Washington Post is reporting that the number of arrests of illegal migrants from Mexico trying to cross the southern U.S. border has plummeted to levels not seen since the early 1970s. That's according to the Department of Homeland Security.
