20Tonight's Jena 6 Project spoken word concert — organized by WMNF resident poet Lizz Straight — benefits the Jena 6 legal defense fund, which was set up for the six black teenagers of Jena, La., accused of involvement in an allegedly race-motivated attack. 9 p.m., Harbor Club, Tampa.

22The fifth annual Fashions with Flair fundraiser includes lunch, prize drawings, a silent auction and a fashion show featuring local celebrity models. 25Today marks the much-anticipated release of Washington Square Serenade, the first album in three years by usually-prolific singer/songwriter Steve Earle. Wade Tatangelo weighs in on it next week.
