Actually, I'm just doing my Matt Drudge impersonation with that headline – I'm absolutely not stunned to see this morning's Quinnipiac survey, that shows in a three way race for U.S. Senate, if Charlie Crist opts to drop out of the Republican Primary (where he is staring at a sure loss at this point) and declares his candidacy as an independent against Marco Rubio and Kendrick Meek this November, today he would win that race.
The Quinnipiac Survey shows Crist would get 32%, Rubio 30%, and Kendrick Meek 24%.
If nothing else, this poll should be the final argument convincing Crist to veto SB 6, since it's unpopular with not only Democrats, but a significant number of Republicans, and can only bring him "the people's " love that he is so very addicted to.
