What: "Look for the green flash at sunset."

Where: We're not sure—the horizon?

Must-Do? Says Who? #100 on the first Must-Do List

Casualties: Just one of those simple pleasures without any casualties

So after work yesterday we booked it to the beach, hoping to catch this mysterious "green flash." We chased the sun and caught it just as it hit the St. Pete skyline. A woman greeted us as she walked her dog past a "No Dogs Allowed" sign. All sorts of shapely clouds were scattered about, including a cumulonimbus pirate ship sailing along the horizon. Thunderless lightning flared in the south without ever touching the ground. The sky was full of colors—most notably pools of pink and violet.

But no green to be seen.

What is this elusive "green flash" anyway? This one might take us a while, so we'll try again and again. But how do we find it?
