Two people were hit by celebratory gunfire on New Year's Eve. That we even have the phrase "celebratory gunfire" is deeply, deeply unsettling.
SUNDAY, JAN. 1:
Canadian authorities charged a Sunwing Airlines pilot after he was found passed out in the cockpit prior to takeoff. Some jobs you can pull off with a bit of a buzz. Jobs you can't include piloting commercial aircraft.
And finally, Tampa International Airport briefly evacuated Airside F due to a suspicious package. Upon further screening, it was determined the bag did not include a passed-out pilot.
