Good morning! Happy Last State of the State Address of Rick Scott's Governorship Day! With that to look forward to, here's a quick look back.
Child abuse charges against two Hillsborough County educators were dropped after the investigation revealed that evidence was "fabricated and manipulated." Many who know the couple are saying they never should have been arrested in the first place, but hey, no harm, no foul, it's not like their lives have been completely upended and their careers affected and their names forever linked to internet searches for the words "child abuse charges," or anything. Is it?
Don't you just love those first clear, warming days after a cold snap, when you wake up to sunshine beaming through your window and traffic delays caused by broken water mains around the city? Is this preventable? I feel like this might be preventable.
And finally, somebody's vape exploded in a backpack on a PSTA bus in Largo yesterday, sending one person to the hospital with burns. Remember everyone, using e-cigarettes carries the risk of much more than simply looking like a douche — in fact, that's pretty much the best one can hope for.
