So it looks like Tampa Bay made it through two big political rallies without anyone being manhandled or sucker-punched, but what else happened yesterday?

File under You Had One Job: A Polk County school bus driver and attendant were arrested for leaving a 13-year-old special-needs child sleeping on their bus and going home after "finishing" their post-school route. Twice. TWICE! Both times, the kid woke up, figured out how to get off the bus, and made it "30 miles to his home in Davenport." Who's differently abled now?

Oh, good, awesome. In true, misguided "bigger is better" style, Tampa will be extending St. Patrick's Day to include events this weekend — and, by implication, stretching America's most intolerable opportunity for people who can't hold their liquor to remind themselves they can't hold their liquor out over more than a week, into next weekend. Great. That's like saying, "this vomit-caked open-mic poetry slam was fucking terrible, whaddaya say we do it seven more nights in a row?"

Not even Florida's own Doctor Evil, Rick Scott, was gonna explicitly back Trump's racism on MSNBC. He did, however, manage to come off as a noncommittal, wishy-washy lightweight; Salon used stronger language.

And finally, a 3-year-old girl was wounded in a St. Pete drive-by shooting. Is it enough yet? How many more?
