It came out when I was in elementary school. My buddy Dave bought me a copy for my birthday. I wore the cassette out. Bought the CD. Still listen to it often. The album is the Guns N' Roses hard rock classic Appetite for Destruction, one of my all-time favorites.
I'm scheduled to interview Appetite co-architect Slash tomorrow afternoon. So, yeah, I'm excited and will have to do my best not to go all fan boy on the guitar god and former Gunner.
I'll ask Slash about Velvet Revolver's new album Libertad and try to get him to talk smack about Axl but … What else should I ask Slash?
