If you've never been to a public play party, but always wanted to go, the idea of walking into a club dressed in your best probably fills you with excitement and nervousness. Relax, it's not that hard. The safest way to participate in the world of kink is to attend your local munch, and then the public play party. I recommend the Tampa Munch and the Fetish Circuit play party (scheduled for this Saturday afternoon and evening, respectively).
Last month I spent some time discussing the benefits of munches: safety, education, real life interactions, discretion, and stress-free socializing with like-minded individuals. If you want to go to your first fetish party, make the Tampa munch. Ask around, and introduce yourself to Edwin or Kimmie, the host and hostess. Let them know that you're new, and thinking of attending the Fetish Circuit play party later that night. Both of them are friendly, gregarious people, who really enjoy their roles as newbie liaisons. If they can't answer your questions, you probably don't need to know the answers.
