Two quick thoughts on the Tampa Tribune, my former employer and the area's second-largest newspaper:
The paper has moved serial name-caller Dan Ruth out onto the Metro front 3X a week. That tempers the good news that Steve Otto will not be out there as often as he has been.
Second, I know the Tribune is taking a warmer-and-fuzzier community journalism approach, which is often a relief from the St. Pete Times' overly serious and excessively narrative front page. But what can possibly explain the news judgment today on 1A: a story on a new vanity license plate for aquaculture featuring a clownfish that looks just like the cartoon character Nemo??
