Beginning Wednesday, October 30 and running until Friday, November 1, SPCA Tampa Bay is waiving adoption fees during ‘Purranormal Cativity.’
There’s a catch, only orange and black adult cats and all pocket pets (rabbits, birds, mice, and other small creatures) can be adopted without a fee, and they make a perfect on-theme Halloween sidekick.
SPCA Tampa Bay currently has over 120 cats and pocket pets who are looking for a forever home. Those wanting to pick up a forever friends (or two) can swing by SPCA Tampa Bay at 9099 130th Ave. N. in Largo from 1-7 p.m. Wednesday-Friday.
If you’re not a love at first sight type pet owner and want to take a peek at adoptable animals before you make the trip, visit SPCATampaBay.org. But keep in mind, animals are available on a first-come, first-served basis so if you see an animal that would fit into your family unit, get to the shelter early.
If you plan on taking home a feline, or pocket pet, make sure to slide by the store first to snag a cat carrier or housing appropriate for travel as it is required for adoption.
In the past, fee-waiving adoption events has helped 100 animals formerly sheltered at SPCA Tampa Bay find new homes in only a few days.
Happy haunting with your potential new bff.
