The Mahaffey Theater in downtown St. Petersburg will be under new management with Big3 Entertainment starting September 1, after the city’s contract with SMG World ends.
The 5-year term will run until Aug. 31, 2016. The city council voted unanimously to approve the contract. Big3 Entertainment will assume responsibility for all theater management and operations—booking, marketing, maintenance, facilities and parking, etc.
