Yesterday activists joined forces with Congressman Charlie Crist, St. Petersburg Mayor Rick Kriseman and Tampa Bay area residents at South Straub Park to demand Attorney General William Barr share the intimate details of Robert Mueller’s report on Trump.

Barr has had the final report in his possession for two weeks, and 87% of Americans agree that the full findings should be made public, according to a recent CNN poll

During the rally, Mayor Kriseman shared, “This is a unique moment in history in which we find ourselves. What is happening, the way our president behaves, the way his Attorney General is conducting himself, is not normal. It’s a new and dangerous standard that they are attempting to set. My city is home to American patriots who believe in our democratic institutions, the rule of law, accountability, and transparency. We paid for the Mueller Report and we should see it. Release the report. Now.”

Organizations that joined the government officials for this call to action included For Our Future Florida, Fired Up Pinellas, F.A.C.T., Allendale United Methodist Church, NOW (National Organization for Women), Progressive Democrats of America and Indivisible FL-13.

Congressman Crist seconded the importance of the need for transparency and rights to the democratic process: “Mueller and his team have dedicated years of careful, meticulous investigation. They’ve found indisputable evidence of Russian meddling in our elections. Indisputable… It’s crucial the report be released. It’s vital information for the people to protect our elections.”
