Open orientation for the Sustainable Floridians program, a 7-week certification course hosted by the Pinellas County Extension and modeled on the successful Florida Master Gardener Program, will take place Thursday, March 17th.

It's goal is to teach participants about utilizing sustainability in their everyday lives. Participants will explore values, attitudes and sustainable actions through discussion and hands-on learning.

Program participants will attend a seven week course that combines group discussions, weekly action exercises and resource materials for an interactive and informative program. They will also be provided with course materials, books, energy conservation devices for the home, and other products that relate to sustainable living. All participants will receive free registration, materials, lunch, energy kits and rain barrels (a $500+ value).
