Pinellas County is in a weaker bargaining position when it comes to repairing and expanding the C.W. Bill Young Regional Reservoir, said Karl Nurse, vice chair of the St. Petersburg City Council at the council’s June 23 meeting.
Nurse, a member of the Tampa Bay Water Board, said a budget was proposed with no reductions, but the board voted 5-3 on June 20 to raise water rates. No reductions were passed.
