The Cross-Bay Ferry is set to take off this Wednesday morning for its third year, but won’t officially launch until Friday for public use.

The Provincetown III, will make its official departure at 11:15 a.m. November 1, from the Tampa Convention Center. The first voyage will be hosted by Tampa Mayor Jane Castor and St. Petersburg Mayor Rick Kriseman.

The ferry, which connects from the convention center to the Vinoy Basin in St. Pete, will run Wednesday through Sunday each week, providing two round-trips on Wednesdays and Thursdays, four on Fridays and Saturdays and then three on Sundays.

Tickets are $8 each way for adults. Seniors, military (Active/Retired), and college students can ride for $5, while kids ages 5-18 are just $3.

The Cross-Bay Ferry will also run 30 minutes later for Lightning home games.
