
During the recent campaign for mayor, Bob Buckhorn and his opponents all acknowledged that the days of spending on big projects was over in Tampa for the short term, at least. That reality was brought home on Thursday as officials with Buckhorn's economic staff gave a sobering presentation of what the budget will look like for next year — which as of today would show a deficit of over $27 million.
