Tampa's Helen Gordon Davis Centre for Women wants to know which local female leader you think deserves its 2019 Waves Award. The deadline for nominations is Dec. 15.

Presented at the Waves of Change luncheon, the Waves Award annually recognizes one Bay area woman who has "turned the tide for women's leadership." Nominees must exhibit a passion for helping women succeed, professional excellence, and a contribution of time and energy to improve other community members' quality of life.

The first female mayor of Tampa, Sandra Warshaw Freedman, and Women of Color Golf founder and CEO Clemmie Perry are past recipients.

To suggest a nominee, send the Centre for Women an email (zbutler@thecentre.org) with subject line Waves Award Nomination, explaining why the resident should receive this honor. The selection committee of diverse community leaders will then review each submission and ultimately choose next year's recipient.
