Sorry, St. Patrick’s Day enthusiasts.

The City of Tampa’s St. Patrick’s Day activities—including downtown Tampa’s River O’Green and the St. Patrick’s Day parade, both scheduled for Saturday—have been canceled in the wake of concerns about the spread of novel coronavirus.

The St. Paddy’s Day parties join the Lightning’s season, the St. Petersburg Grand Prix, NCAA March Madness, USF athletics and Sen. Rick Scott in the group of people and events that’ve been negatively affected by coronavirus.
