Worried about your gifts getting stuck on a cargo ship this holiday season? Tempus Projects in Seminole Heights may have some solutions to your mad search for holiday goods. The non-profit will host a pop-up shop with local artist’s gifts and wares this Saturday from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at 4220 N Florida Ave.

Tempus Projects—an art space that supports emerging local, national and international artists through exhibitions and events—will have an array of local artist’s creations at the pop-up, along with mimosas, coffee and snacks to enjoy for free while you shop local.

“Support local artists and the nonprofit you know and love by coming out to Tempus Projects for our Holiday FA LA LA LA LA F’N LA LA LA POP-UP SHOP!” Tempus wrote in the event announcement. “We will have tons of art work framed and ready to be given as a gift to friends and family. Or keep it for yourself because you deserve a gift too #selfcare.”

The local artists involved in the pop-up shop include: Anthony Record, Jessi Sherbet, Jenn Ryann Miller, Jessica Todd, Sam Newton, Cowboy By Takeo, Justin Bryan Nelson, Selina Roman, Crab Devil, Will Douglas, and more.

After this weekend, the pop-up shop will continue to be open every Saturday until Christmas from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. and one final time on December 27.

Tempus is also hosting an art exhibit called Leave Your Body and Soul at the Door through December 26, 2021. Gallery hours are Tuesdays & Thursdays 10am-2pm and Fridays by appointment. The exhibit will also be open while the pop-up shop is taking place. Contact 813-340-9056 for more info.
