LOCATION! LOCATION! LOCATION! This week, we're checking in with our friends down the suncoast. The owner of a law office on N. Tamiami Trail in Sarasota reported that he had spotted a woman trying to turn a few tricks on his property. The woman was described as being white and heavy-set, having blonde hair, seen wearing white pants and a pink top. When police arrived, the woman was nowhere to be found.

SPEAKING OF THE TRAIL: An anonymous caller reported seeing a suspicious woman walking on N. Tamiami Trail near 42nd Street. According to the caller, the woman appeared to be intoxicated. After locating and questioning the woman, police discovered that she was not in fact intoxicated. They had noticed her several times that day, however, and she was advised to leave.

SPEAKING OF INTOXICATED: After receiving a 911 call, emergency dispatch sent an officer to a 41st Street residence. Upon arrival the officer knocked on the door. Though the officer could hear a woman's voice, no one answered the door. While investigating the home from outside, the owner of the home arrived on the property, opened the door and invited the officer in. Once inside, the two men found the homeowner's wife drunk and passed out on the floor. The homeowner explained that this was a continuous problem and that he would call if he needed additional assistance. The officer departed the scene without incident.

SPEAKING OF MARITAL ISSUES: Two S. Shade Avenue residents were reported for having a dispute over whether or not their 5-month-old son was sick. Upon the arrival of the police, the father decided to take his son to the doctor and left the scene with the child. No further action was taken.

A LITTLE OF MOST OF THE ABOVE: Two men were reported for causing a verbal disturbance outside a N. Tamiami Trail convenience store. By the time police were able to respond, both individuals were gone. However, police later received a call reporting that one of the men was on Colleton Drive. The man was seen carrying a Zephyrhills water bottle filled with a brown-colored liquid. Police located the man, and it was soon discovered that the water bottle was actually full of Jack Daniel's Whiskey. Since the man was underage and in violation of the open container law, he was arrested on three charges and taken to the county lock-up.

HAWKE EYES: An Orange Avenue resident reported that she saw a suspicious man near her vehicle. She was unable to check her vehicle herself since she is disabled. Authorities checked the vehicle but did not observe anything suspicious; they also did not observe any suspicious characters nearby.
