Hi, I'm the Unemployed Housewife — unemployed since losing my job in human resources in December, and a housewife since, well, getting married, but getting lots more housewifey by the minute the more time I spend at home. (How much TLC can one person watch?) Besides giving me a chance to complain about the lousy job market, my blog is mostly made up of the kind of things you vent about to your best friend over lunch or a few mojitos if you are so inclined (which I am on a regular basis these days…). I'm thinking there are lots of other women in circumstances similar to mine…unemployed, a stepmother, uncontrollable frizzy hair and an overprotective mother? Well, one can hope anyway.
Regardless, as women we all have to watch out for each other, and we always have to find humor in our daily life situations, no matter how mundane they may seem at the time. That is the entire point of this blog. Or lack of point, really…hmmm…kind of like a written edition of a Seinfeld episode the more I think about it. Speaking of no point…why is it that when I am just on the edge of having an epiphany of sorts and I have just come up with a great point to get across…my dogs go apeshit like masked men are trying to squeeze their way in through the mail slot…geez. Needless to say, thought is gone…poof.
