“Prison Break” star Wentworth Miller revealed he is gay while taking a public stand against Russia’s anti-gay laws.
Miller, who tabloids have long speculated to be gay, came out in a letter declining an invitation to attend the St. Petersburg International Festival. Stating that he was “deeply troubled” by the country’s anti-LGBT stance, Miller wrote, “As a gay man, I must decline.”
He went on to say that he “cannot in good conscience participate in a celebratory occasion hosted by a country where people like myself are being systematically denied their basic right to live and love openly.”
