Four St. Petersburg police officers were disciplined last week after improperly accessing personal and confidential information on a former officer who recently made the transition from a female to a male.
After being called to Tyrone Square Mall for a shoplifting incident, the officers began a conversation with a security guard who works for Valor Security Services, which also now employs their former colleague. The cops accessed the state license database to display the former officer’s gradual physical changes during his transition from female to male and made disparaging comments.
