We asked photographers who shoot local music for CL to select some of their favorite concert photos. Here are a few of their choices, along with descriptions in their own words of what we're looking at.

ENZO, by Darryl Richardson: "Known in the local hip-hop community as Enzo, Louis Junior is a good friend of mine and an even better musical talent. I started working with him in March 2009 (around the same time I really got into photography), and have documented just about every one of his shows since. I chose this photo from his latest performance at Crowbar because I believe it showcases the progression, struggle and joy both of us share as up-and-coming artists in our respective fields."

THE SEMIS, by Jeff O'Kelley: "All the things that give New World Brewery a great vibe (lack of stage, dim lighting) also make it difficult for photogs. Even so, I captured a few great images of The Semis during their 2010 Heatwave performance."

LIGHT YOURSELF ON FIRE, by Nicole Kibert: "I love how this photo of Light Yourself on Fire playing Transitions Art Gallery on January 31, 2008. The shot captures how Matt sounds singing… essentially like his soul is momentarily leaving his body."

GREYMARKET AT THE RITZ, by DrunkCameraGuy: "One of my favorite live shows; for two people, they sure do make a ton of noise."

10TH CONCESSION, by Tracy May: "The final round of 'The Ritz Ybor Battle of the Bands' competition August 20, 2010. The prize was cash and an opening slot for a major national touring act.
