If you've looked outside, you've noticed the bullshit weather, which is probably going to carry on through the weekend, which is bullshit.
If you live in flood-prone areas like South Tampa, this news is extra bullshit.
That's because you probably face insane flooding on a daily basis this time of year because of routine afternoon storms. But 48 hours' worth of rain? Yeah, that sucks.
The city of Tampa and Hillsborough County are each offering free sandbags for those that need them, spokespeople said earlier today.
In Tampa you can find them till 8 p.m. tonight and from 8 a.m. till noon Saturday at the following locations (25 bag limit):
- Himes Sports Complex, 4500 South Himes Avenue
- Jackson Heights Playground, 3310 E. Lake Avenue
- City of Tampa Solid Waste at 4010 W. Spruce Street
In Hillsborough, you can find them from 8 a.m. to noon tomorrow at the following spots (ten bag limit):
- West Service Unit at 9805 Sheldon Road
- South Service Unit at 8718 Old Big Bend Road
East Service Unit at 4702 Sydney Road
But regardless of whether you need sandbags to fend off flooding in your area, we will be experiencing some intense weather and encourage you to, you know, be careful.
