If you're hoping to vote in Florida's August 24 primary, and you're uncertain if you're a registered voter, time to get it in gear, as the deadline is today.

For more information on how to register, go to the Florida Division of Elections page (http://election.dos.state.fl.us./index.shtml) and click on "For the Voters."

Florida's primary is a "closed" one.  That means you've got to be registered as either a Democrat or Republican to vote in those parties races.  If you're a Green, Libertarian, American Freedom Party, or what have you, you won't be able to vote in August.

Early voting will begin two weeks from today, August 9, and go through the 21st.  Absentee voting is happening now as you read this.
