The world was watching, and for a few seconds this morning they were watching us.
Creative Loafing Tampa staffers were among the many millions whose jaws collectively dropped upon hearing the Casey Anthony verdict. Thanks to CL promotions manager and videographer Matthew Schiel, our reactions were captured for posterity on YouTube — and, this morning, rebroadcast on The Today Show. (We're about a minute-and-a-half in — the shadowy-looking bunch in the brick-walled loft space.)
One of my colleagues said, I believe ironically, that being on TV made her feel better about the verdict. At least now we won't have to wait till we're 100 years old to get on Today.
