For most women and many men, weight is a serious concern. The mood of my entire day can hinge on if I feel skinny or if a coworker asks if I've been working out more. It's no secret that when assessing their attraction to a woman, men first study her physical beauty before considering other characteristics like personality. As a result most women have been brought up in a culture that subconsciously teaches us that if we want to succeed, we must be beautiful. And too be beautiful in this society, we must be skinny.
