Turkey Day brings folks together: mom, dad, brother, sister, that crazy uncle who spends the entire afternoon sucking his teeth and screaming at the football game on TV.

Like the Griswolds except with twice the siblings and a brother-in-law, my family is well-meaning and loving but a bit dysfunctional. For instance, high-decibel shouting matches have been known to take place concerning who nibbled all the crust off the last slice of pie and then put bit back in the fridge. (Yeah, I'm talking to you, Alli!)

Hopefully my day spent in close confines with the fam will be as warm and fuzzy as yours. Truth be told, Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. No pressure to buy presents or remember whether it's OK to say "Merry Christmas," just a day for lounging around with loved ones, expressing gratitude and stuffing your face with obscene amounts of food. Cheers!
