Instead of nekkid folks, newgrounds.com relies on the electron equivalent of uncut caffeine to keep your entertainment-overloaded psyche bellied up to the table. Or in this case, the monitor. But there are two warnings: One, turn your speakers down or off when you first click in to avoid the omnipresent techno/electronica MIDI files that blast out of the background (not that they're bad, just LOUD). Two, this site is definitely for those who've been treading this planet for more than 18 years. If you're old enough, head on over and play on the anti-PC side of the tracks. Check out Assassin, where you can whack some of the more annoying stars of our day and age. Or maybe venture to the stars for the surprisingly good first-person shooter Combat Instinct 2. Not in the mood for the ultra-violence? Click on Portal to view a cornucopia of movies, both in Flash animation and stop-motion filming. Personally, I recommend "Blundercats," a parody of an old '80s cartoon (if you don't know which, I'm not gonna tell ya, so nyah, nyah) or the stop-action Lego series by Sofa King. Sure, newgrounds.com may not be breaking into uncharted territory, but they're most assuredly making the map more detailed.
