Sure, it's a publicity stunt, but as stunts go, it's pretty good, and the issue of alternative fuels is a vital one. Tampa congressional candidate Scott Farrell left last Friday on a Tampa-to-Washington, D.C. political tour in a campaign RV that has been converted to run on waste vegetable oil, the kind left over after your chicken wings are done cooking. "It's not just an energy issue," Farrell said. "It's a national security issue." He plans to meet with blueswoman and alt-fuel fan Bonnie Raitt at her D.C. concert.
